Location 
We have 4 branches.  Head Office in Penrose, 3 Auckland branches and a Christchurch office.  This role is based at our Auckland South Branch which is based on Cavendish Drive, Manukau and this branch focuses on developments in the surrounding areas, so ideal for anyone living out that way looking to reduce their commute.  

The Role
Our Design & Planning Coordinator is office based and reports to the Design & Planning Manager.  You will need to design, assess design and review documentation as well as liaising with all parties involved in the design process. This role will span the construction life cycle, developing good working relationships with consultants and Council to ensure we respond to their queries efficiently.  You will need to assist in the production of suitable designs and working drawings ready to lodge applications for consent.  The design management part of the role will also see you working with our Construction Supervisors to gain their input on ‘buildability’.  Similarly, you’ll need to also work  with our Sales Team and take on their feedback about what existing home owners and people who view our show homes are saying to ensure that future designs take these points into consideration.

About You
We are open to who may be the successful candidate for this opportunity.  You may be an experienced Draughter / Architectural Technician, Architect or Builder with an interest in design or vast experience in the consenting process. You may have an exceptional eye for detail and love analysis and accuracy or you may enjoy the more creative / design side.  We are building a team for our growing branch so having a mix of skills and experience would be a real asset.   You’ll definitely need to know your way around a set of construction drawings and you will have some exposure to and good knowledge of specification writing.
