We are now on the lookout for an HR Manager to join our team based at the Fletcher Building Head Office in Penrose.
About the role
In this role, you will lead, plan and influence HR related activities for the business. In doing so, you will ensure that effective HR plans are initiated, developed and implemented to support the Humes Business, Divisional and Corporate HR objectives and build capability to fulfil longer-term strategic goals.
Reporting to the GM Human Resources for the Building Products division, you will partner with key stakeholders to deliver best practice human resource initiatives with a focus on talent development, change management, employee relations, engagement, capability build and performance.
You will bring your commercial acumen and creative problem solving & thinking to drive the best outcomes for the business.
You will be a people focused HR Manager or an HR generalist looking to make the next step in your HR career in a busy fast paced multi-site business. You will have experience working in a larger organisation (ideally in a manufacturing / industrial / distribution environment) and is capable of working to multiple deadlines. You will have proven experience with HR and change management with the ability to manage culture change processes.
Key to your success will be your ability to coach managers and business leaders on all aspects of people management, including performance management, talent development & management and employee relations to lift capability and improve employee engagement across the network.
You will also influence through clear communication and alignment of the business strategy, culture, safety, process, practices, and behaviours. You will be a customer-focused leader who is seen as a highly valued and trusted HR practitioner.
The successful applicant will ideally possess a tertiary qualification in HR, business or related discipline or be working towards achieving one. You will have a sound knowledge of HR best practice as well as New Zealand employment legislation. You will be a fantastic relationship builder from entry level roles and have the confidence to operate autonomously , whilst being part of and collaborating with the wider Fletcher Building People and Performance community.
