The Role

Based in the Kapiti Coast, as the successful applicant, you will be able to work in a diverse team, be personable, and display good lab etiquette. This isn’t your typical Laboratory Technician role, you must be prepared to get your hands dirty as you will be required to work on the frontline from time-to-time.

Day-to-day you will be required to assist with the monitoring, inspection, sampling, evaluation, testing and reporting of aggregates, soils, asphalt and bituminous materials in accordance with industry standards. You will also be required to operate our new coring rig as well as additional field tests.

You will have a sound working knowledge of all laboratory procedures, quality processes and customer service with a focus on providing feedback to the operational teams.

The successful person will ideally come from a science or engineering background, will need good computer skills and most importantly a can-do attitude.  You will have a methodical approach to your work, and be able to follow written test procedures and produce reports.
