Humes is the largest pipeline systems supplier in New Zealand and a very successful business unit within the wider Fletcher Building Group. We externally source and distribute a range of products of various materials and manufacture a range of concrete pipe and precast structures for the infrastructure, drain layer and rural markets. Humes operate 7 manufacturing operations and 23 sales centres throughout New Zealand.
In this role you will be based at Head Office in Penrose, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing supply planning across the various product categories. You’ll be supporting the National Sales and Distribution Manager, in coordinating S&OP processes, providing visibility and capacity planning to avoid potential shortfalls.
You’ll be responsible for delivering continuity of supply as measured by DIFOT, stock consistency and meeting inventory targets across all distribution sites. You’ll play an active role within the Sales and Distribution team ensuring you are ahead of pipeline demand and ensuring inventory is in the right place at the right time.
You will have a proven track record of 3+ years of experience in Supply & Demand Planning or a similar planning role. You’ll be comfortable understanding business forecast to ensure product pipeline is accurate, you’ll be accustomed to communicating with internal and external stakeholders, managing expectations and being proactive in scheduling movement of stock to meet stock demand. You’ll have end to end experience in demand or supply planning, you’ll be confident in making recommendations based on product volume and be accustomed to providing solutions where appropriate.
This role requires someone with a high level of drive, ambition and resilience as you will be working within a very competitive industry, product knowledge not essential, however if you have a high level of curiosity, attention to detail, a knack for problem solving and a real hunger to deliver your targets.
