As part of the Fletcher Building Group, Laminex New Zealand is a diverse business incorporating Manufacturing, Distribution and Sales across New Zealand. We manufacture Melteca and Particleboard and distribute a wide range of decorative and building panel products sourced locally and from across the world.
 
About the opportunity
Reporting to the General Manager, the primary function of this role is to lead the Laminex Sales teams. You’ll provide strategic sales direction and support that will enable sustainable growth of earnings and customer value. You’ll require proven sales leadership experience; you’ll set the strategic direction and lead the development and implementation of Laminex business sales plans.
You’ll sponsor improvement projects within the business and collaborate across teams to ensure delivery of results. This role forms part of the senior leadership business team and is responsible for actively participating to ensure through leadership, teamwork and collaboration the company performs to meet all agreed budgets, targets and strategic objectives. You’ll maintain and advance customer relationships and support the sales management team to build new customer relationships.

About You
You will have prior sales leadership experience, a proven track record in managing geographically dispersed teams and experience in multiple product streams. You’ll have a commercial nous, able to operate with a sense of urgency, commit to the objectives and deliver key results. 
Excellent interpersonal skills including strategic partnering, influencing, negotiation, verbal and written communication skills are important qualities we look for. You’ll be collaborative in your approach, process driven, able to prioritise tasks, possess a high level of accuracy and be highly motivated.
Along with your demonstrated ability to deliver results within a complex business environment, you will be passionate about ensuring what you deliver helps the business achieve its objectives.
