We are now on the lookout for a People & Performance Manager to join our team based at the Fletcher Building Head Office in Penrose.
About the role
In this role, you will lead, plan and influence HR related activities for the business. In doing so, you will ensure that effective HR strategies and plans are initiated, developed and implemented to support your Business, Divisional and Corporate objectives and build capability to fulfill longer-term strategic goals.
Reporting to the GM People and Performance for the Building Products division, you will partner with key stakeholders to deliver best practice human resource initiatives with a focus on talent development, change management, employee relations, engagement, capability and performance.
You will bring your commercial acumen and strategic thinking to drive the best outcomes for the business.
You will be an experienced HR generalist who has worked in large organisations (ideally in a manufacturing / industrial / construction environment) and is capable of working at high pace. You will possess strategic HR and change management experience with the ability to manage change processes from inception to completion.
Key to your success will be your ability to coach business leaders on people management, performance management, talent management and employee relations to lift capability and improve employee engagement. You will also influence through clear communication and alignment of strategy, culture, process, practices, and behaviours. You will be a customer-focused leader who is seen as a trusted HR practitioner.
The successful applicant will ideally possess a tertiary qualification in HR, business or related discipline and a sound knowledge of HR best practice as well as New Zealand employment legislation. You will be a fantastic relationship builder and have the confidence to operate autonomously, whilst being part of and collaborating with the wider Fletcher Building People and Performance community.
