Stramit Building Products is a leading Australian manufacturer of steel building products including roofing, walling, gutters and fascia, purlins, flooring, structural formwork and roller doors. Stramit also owns three distribution and franchise businesses in the pre-engineered building market including Fair Dinkum Sheds, ShedBoss, and SOL Home Improvements. 

About the Role:
We currently have a vacancy for a Production Planner at our plant in Hobart. In this role you will co-ordinate the forward planning of the Plant to ensure raw materials & consumables are always available. You will work to ensure coil & both internally & externally items (including branch stock transfers) are purchased. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will also work closely with the Customer Service, Sales and Production teams.  

This is a hands-on role within a strong team environment, requiring some flexibility to help out on the factory floor, stores and associated tasks.

About You:
Our ideal individual will have the following skills and experience – 
  • Experience working in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
  • A solid understanding of Production Planning Fundamentals.
  • Strong Safety focus 
  • A good understanding of the Transport industry
  • Experience in internal order processing
  • Strong computer literacy, proficient in MS Office suite
  • Experience with Movex Warehouse software, or similar system would be advantageous. 
  • Forklift license is desirable but not essential
