Join Our Team as a Quarry Operator!

Who we are looking for: Are you ready to get your hands dirty in the quarry industry? We're thrilled to offer an opportunity for a Plant Operator to work our day shift between 5.00am to 4:00pm, with the occasional Saturday at our Hunua Quarry.

If you have prior experience operating a fixed plant, fantastic! However, if you're enthusiastic and eager to learn, we're here to support you in kick-starting your career. We value reliability, passion, a can-do attitude, and a willingness to roll up your sleeves and dive into the exciting world of operating our fixed plant.

Tasks you will undertake as a Fixed Plant Operator:

Keeping production moving - visually check plant (clearing obstructions)
Prioritise safety requirements – hazard identifications
Data entry
Set up, prepare, and fix equipment as needed
Perform shutdown procedures and maintain equipment while clearing the work area

What this role offers:

Guaranteed 40 hours - Monday to Friday and some Saturdays on roster

For this role you will need:

NZ Class 2 Drivers Licence with WTR
Dump Truck, Excavator or Loader experience advantageous
Be mechanically minded
Right to work in New Zealand
Decent level of fitness – there will be some manual heavy lifting
Common sense and a healthy and positive attitude towards your work to ensure your teammates get home safely each day.
