Firth is a leading supplier of ready-mixed concrete, masonry products, and premix to the construction industry either directly or through building product distributors. It has over 2,500 active customer accounts and products are used across all building sectors and environments. Firth has a team of approximately 650 people, working in 85 operational sites throughout New Zealand. It's divided into three main product groups, Certified, Masonry and Dricon.
Reporting directly to the Head of Environment, Health and Safety, you will help drive and deliver the Environment, Health and Safety strategy, ensuring best practice initiatives and driving cultural change within the organisation. You will be working alongside the business unit providing advice, mentoring and supporting operational teams to drive Environment, Health and Safety performance and engagement.
The successful candidate will have a relevant qualification in Environment, Health and Safety and/or experience working in an Environment, Health and Safety Advisory role. You will have a proven track record of experience ideally in a multi-site, safety-sensitive industry managing Environment, Health and Safety across a large number of people. You will be a strong communicator, excellent problem solver and have the ability to engage people across all levels of the business.
