Iplex Pipelines NZ is a leading manufacturer and supplier of plastic pipeline systems in New Zealand.  Iplex manufactures and supplies pipeline systems from 13 mm up to 1,200 mm in diameter for a diverse range of applications including: Water Supply, Sewerage, Plumbing, Gas, Stormwater, Irrigation, Telecommunications, Electrical, Mining, and Industrial. We are looking for a candidate with strategic aptitude to partner with our team in Auckland.

About the role
Reporting to the General Manager, the primary function of this role is to identify and take advantage of growth opportunities in underdeveloped plastics building products market in New Zealand.  You’ll identify and develop new business relationships which provide innovative solutions to customers through local and global research.  You’ll be responsible for conducting market research, determining addressable market size, determine unmet customer needs, develop strategic options to win and rapidly test the market for these solutions.

About you
You’ll have at least 2 – 3 years’ experience in a Consulting firm or Corporate Finance experience from a Big 4 accounting firm or reputable Corporate Finance advisory house. You’ll possess a strong understanding of financial and accounting methodologies.
You’ll be driven by your ability to directly impact the commercial success of a business. It is largely advantageous if you have strategic analytical experience within the Manufacturing industry, or with proven experience with new products to market. You’ll be confident conducting both quantitative and qualitative analyses, building financial/economic models, as well as reporting on specific issues and opportunities confronting the business.
Your ability to listen to and understand our customers’ needs will be crucial, you’ll be an expert partner who is able to provide sound advice and potential business avenues. A self-starter, articulate and accustom to discussing solutions. You will be comfortable presenting business cases to senior leaders, identifying gaps in the market and collating market research and data on key findings.
