PlaceMakers continuously strives to be the best building partner in the market and takes pride in providing the highest level of service to our customers. In line with this, we are currently seeking a sales support professional to join our Trade Support team at PlaceMakers Whangarei.
On a daily basis you will be responsible for delivering true value-added solutions for our trade customers, this will involve interpreting building plans and conveying necessary requirements to our customers and suppliers to ensure projects meet expectations as well as the following -
- Managing customer orders and enquiries by phone, email and face to face
- Booking in jobs for delivery and manufacture and ensuring the right information is provided
- Creating and checking of estimation documents to confirm pricing, quantities and material sku’s
- Daily and weekly planning with account manager to ensure all opportunities are captured
- Providing customers with product advice & discussing tailored solutions
- Phoning customers to prompt upcoming requirements
- Phoning new customers to generate new business
- Liaising with inventory, yard/drive thru team and dispatch in regards to orders and deliveries
- Dealing with suppliers around new products and specifications
The time-sensitive nature of our customers’ needs requires you to work at pace and input data accurately and within specified timeframes. Your resilience and ability to be solution-oriented even when under pressure will certainly come in handy in this ever-changing environment as well as your analytical ability to know or learn our systems (Excel, Build-it, TDX and ACE) and use them quickly.
Ideally, you will come from a trade, tele-sales or sales support background and possess an understanding of building plans and our products while being fueled with knowledge and passion for the building industry.
As your role will also see you liaising with other areas of the branch, you must have the ability to build rapport and enjoy a team-focused culture. You’re engaging and flexible with the ability to effectively communicate product and delivery information and have a strong customer service focus with an aim to continuously add value.
