Laminex New Zealand is a diverse business incorporating Distribution, Manufacturing and Sales. Consisting of Distribution Centres in Christchurch, Wellington and Auckland as well as manufacturing sites in Taupo and Hamilton and 9 Sales Branches nationwide we buy in and on sell products sourced from 3rd parties and also distribute Laminex New Zealand manufactured products such as Melteca, Laminex and particleboard.
To provide the exceptional service our customers rely on we are looking for a hard working enthusiastic Warehouse Operator to join our small and supportive Christchurch team at our Waltham Distribution Centre. This role will be fast paced and give you exposure to all aspects of our warehouse operation.
This position is vital to our organisation and you will need to have excellent communication, teamwork and customer service skills. Picking up product knowledge and technical information is really important as over time you will work closer with customers.
On a daily basis you will find yourself loading & unloading trucks, driving the forklift, preparing shipping documentation, picking & packing orders, confirming orders in our computer database and completing general warehousing duties.
If you are motivated, driven and proud of ensuring that all orders are picked & packed accurately we want to speak with you. Health & Safety practices ingrained in your DNA are a must, as is a keen attitude and willingness to learn new things. Additionally you will need to be computer competent, F endorsed & current OSH Certificate, have no criminal convictions and be physically fit as there is some manual lifting involved.
