The role 

We are on the lookout for an experienced Warehouse or Distribution Supervisor to manage and co-ordinate the dispatch function within our Penrose distribution site.  Reporting to the National Operations Manager, the role is primarily responsible for supporting and supervising the daily transport and distribution operations ensuring that we provide timely delivery of products to meet our customer’s expectations in an economical and safe manner. You will ensure that our distribution equipment and resources are efficiently utilised and maintained in accordance with best practices and statutory requirements.

Another focus of this role is centered around quality  and inventory management and product storage. It is imperative that inventory is stored in a safe, secure and correct condition and that you investigate and resolve any stock issues in a timely manner. There are a range of administrative tasks associated with this role including completing stock takes, generating picking lists and shipping orders as necessary.

About you

This is a busy role where you will be required to spin a number of plates! In order to hit the ground running you will need to be an experienced people manager who enjoys developing team capability and providing training as necessary. Due to the administrative side of this role you will need to feel comfortable using Microsoft Word, previous experience with SAP would be ideal. You will have previous experience in a warehouse environment and feel comfortable working through challenges and providing solutions to our customers.
