We are listed on both the NZX and ASX and have over 34 businesses across New Zealand, Australia and the South Pacific. We are enriched by many different languages, customs and lifestyles.

Group Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) acts as a centre of excellence and works closely with our businesses and its people as we embark on a safety culture transformation journey. We are committed to taking our safety programme (Protect) to world-class levels in terms of safety culture, capability and critical risk management and hold a strong belief that all injuries are preventable.

Our immediate opportunity is to re-shape our organisation and create more capacity for safety leadership, innovation, agility and customer connection. There has never been a more exciting time to join Fletcher Building.

About the Role
Based at our Penrose Corporate Head Office, you will be joining our wider Group EHS team, supporting all aspects of environment, health and safety across Fletcher Building. Embodying our core value ‘Protect’, our team has developed and maintains the EHS Management System that provides best practice guidance to proactively keep our people and community safe.
The purpose of this role is to support effective claims and injury management, by implementing and using a range of tools and processes to administer workers compensation and early intervention programmes across New Zealand.

The role will see you guide our businesses with timely advice on injury management/early intervention and be the primary relationships manager with our workers compensation regulators, external claims management teams and health and wellbeing service providers (e.g. ACC, WorkAon, OKHealth).

As EHS & ACC Programmes Coordinator you will also support the successful roll-out of internal EHS programmes, designed to drive a proactive and interdependent safety culture across the organisation.

About You
You are an allied health or safety professional with exceptional customer focus, a growth mindset and an understanding of how to optimise business outcomes.

To be successful in the role, you will:

• Be skilled in building and maintaining professional relationships with regulators and external service providers
• Have in-depth knowledge and practical experience in ACC/injury management
• Have 2-5 years injury management experience, or similar relevant experience
• Have proven ability to manage your workload in order to meet programme deadlines
• Proven capability to engage internal stakeholders at all levels to achieve successful programme outcomes
• Be tertiary qualified in an allied health discipline (e.g. physiotherapy, occupational therapy) or EHS and/or equivalent experience (desirable)

This position is strongly aligned to those who have a keen interest in developing their career in the injury management profession. It is advantageous if you have experience coordinating ACC audits and/or are familiar with the Accredited Employers Programme.

We believe all injuries are preventable. You will be joining a driven and engaging team. If you are safety focused and thrive on challenge and opportunity, then this is the role for you.  In return, you will enjoy the on-going benefits and career opportunities of working for one of NZ’s largest employers. We are focused on improving the world around us through smart thinking, simply delivered.

We do encourage applications from individuals who demonstrate the above experience and expertise, for consideration.
