With a new Hub Structure in place across Wellington and ongoing demand, our team is continuing to grow, and we now have an opportunity for a customer service-focused team leader to join our team in the key role of Trade Sales Supervisor based at our Porirua branch.

The role:
This is a pivotal role where you will be hands-on providing guidance and leadership to a small trade support team that supports account managers and senior leaders.  You will ensure that our trade clients experience the best customer service from start to finish and that productivity is high given the fast-paced nature of our business. On a daily basis, you will also be responsible for but not limited to –

Supporting your team with any queries and/or training requirements
Performance reviews and coordinating staff rosters
Customer enquiries by phone and email
Daily and weekly planning with the account manager to ensure all opportunities are captured
Providing customers with product advice & discussing tailored solutions
Liaising with inventory and dispatch in regard to orders and deliveries
Dealing with suppliers around new products and specifications

A clean/ current Full NZ Drivers Licence is essential.

About you:

Being customer-centric with a passion for exceptional service, you lead by example and have proven leadership experience that engages and encourages your team to do their best.  With a positive and outgoing personality, you enjoy a varied role within a fast-paced environment and can also demonstrate the following:

You will come from a trade-sales or sales support background and have knowledge about our products and the building industry – if not a strong desire to learn
Be able to work under pressure and organise your time and environment for maximum efficiency
High standard of customer service and strong communication skills
You will need to be computer literate and full training will be given on our in-house computer systems
