This role will see you reporting to the Contracts Manager and working within a team of 5 experienced Quantity Surveyors. This role is all about rolling your sleeves and getting stuck in. There will be a volume of work to get through, so being thorough but accurate and efficient is going to be important in this role. You will be assisting the QS Team ensuring contractors / creditors are paid in a timely and accurate manner and ensuring that the flow of QS data goes through to the relevant Quantity Surveyor within your team.
We are looking for someone that has a solid finance administration background, so you will have very quick data entry skills, be familiar with using finance packages (we use JDE) and have a sound understanding of the AP / Receipting / PO processes. You may also be required to assist with projects from time to time including updating supplier prices, helping cover QS that are on leave by checking AP queries, attending to supplier queries, and maintaining accurate and orderly filing of documentation. You’ll definitely need to be energized by a quick turnaround of work, accuracy in doing so and working in a team environment. This role may appeal to someone that has worked in a finance administration role or looking for an entry level QS opportunity.
