About the Role:
As an Account Manager for Auckland, you’ll take ownership of a well-established Commercial or Residential portfolio while actively identifying new business opportunities. This role offers a great mix of account management and sales, with time spent on the road engaging with trade customers on-site, understanding the details of their projects, and delivering tailored packages and solutions that make a real difference. From quoting through to delivery, you’ll oversee the full sales process, build strong relationships across the trade network, attend industry events, and proudly represent PlaceMakers in the wider building community.

This is a permanent, full-time role offering 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. You’ll be servicing Commercial and Residential customers across Auckland, based out of either our Mt Wellington or Cook Street (CBD) branch.

About you: 
To succeed in this role, you will be more than just a salesperson, you will operate as a trusted advisor to our trade customers. With a solid background and deep understanding of the building and construction industries, you’ll build strong lasting relationships with external and internal stakeholders, always looking for ways to grow your territory and exceed expectations.
* Proven experience in sales, account management, or business development.
* Bring a strong work ethic, approachable nature and committed to delivering deliver great service to everyone you meet. 
* Self-motivation and a proactive approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
* Highly organised with sharp attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication.
* Tech-savvy and comfortable working across multiple systems.
* Full NZ Class 1 drivers’ licence is a must.
