The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Account Manager to manage and grow a portfolio of customers across the commercial and shed markets.
This role plays a key part in positioning Stramit as a trusted partner by delivering confident advice, reliable execution and strong commercial outcomes across every project.
About the Role
This is a project-based, technically oriented account management role, focused on building strong customer partnerships rather than transactional selling.
You will be responsible for:
- Managing a portfolio of commercial customers across the construction and shed markets
- Supporting customers from enquiry through to order placement and delivery
- Ensuring accuracy, reliability and strong margin discipline across projects
- Building long-term relationships based on trust, capability and consistency
Key responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of commercial customers across the commercial + shed markets
- Provide confident advice across structural building solutions to support customer projects (drawing literacy helpful, not essential)
- Partner closely with specification, technical/engineering, operations and scheduling teams
- Price with discipline and protect gross margin
- Stay on top of changes, variations and deadlines to avoid rework and errors
- Maintain a clean pipeline and strong CRM habits (Salesforce)

- Strong conversion from enquiry → order
- Repeat work and long-term customer relationships
- Margin protected and improved across the portfolio
- Low error / credit / rework rates
- Customers see you as a trusted, reliable partner (because you deliver)
About you
You’re technically capable and commercially sharp, organised, and bring the right energy—someone who builds relationships, follows through, and enjoys working as part of a tight team.
You’ll bring:
- Building products experience (essential)
- Commercial sales / account management background (ideally 2+ years, more welcome)
- Experience with made-to-order / engineered-to-order products (highly regarded)
- A calm, methodical approach under pressure
- Strong ownership, accountability and team-first mindset
