Right now, we’re looking for a driven Account Manager who thrives on building relationships, solving problems, and delivering exceptional service.

About the Role

As our new Account Manager, you’ll be the key link between EasySteel and our customers across the Hawke’s Bay region. You’ll manage an established portfolio while actively identifying new opportunities to grow the business. This role blends relationship management, technical understanding, and commercial acumen. You’ll enjoy variety—no two days look the same. One moment you’re on-site with a customer discussing project requirements, the next you’re collaborating with our internal teams to deliver tailored solutions.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Managing and growing a portfolio of customers across construction, engineering, and manufacturing sectors
• Building strong, long-term relationships through regular contact and exceptional service
• Identifying new business opportunities and developing strategies to win them
• Providing product knowledge and technical support to help customers choose the right steel solutions
• Preparing quotes, pricing, and proposals with accuracy and commercial insight
• Working closely with the Hastings branch team to ensure seamless order fulfilment and customer satisfaction
• Monitoring market trends and competitor activity to stay ahead of the game

What You’ll Bring

• Steel or trades industry experience is preferred but full training will be provided for the right candidate
• Proven experience in account management, sales, or customer-facing roles
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
• Ability to understand technical products (steel or construction industry experience is a bonus, but not essential)
• Solid organisational skills and attention to detail
• A team-first attitude and a genuine desire to help customers succeed
