About the Role
Our Whangārei branch is small but agile, and we are looking for a dynamic Account Manager who can add to our culture built on trust, teamwork and a passion for what we do. In this role you will build and maintain strong customer relationships to understand customers’ needs. Key responsibilities will include:

• Generate sales leads and build a robust pipeline in the Northland region.
• Account management, sales planning, call cycles, quoting, customer visits etc.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
• Understand customer needs and continuously identify value-added opportunities to expand our market share.
• Coordinate with internal teams, including Sales, Operations & Procurement
• Maintain up to date knowledge of market strategies and industry developments within the region

About You
We’re looking for a proven track record in sales or account management type roles. Whilst experience in the construction or building products industry would be advantageous, it will be your proactive, solutions-focused approach that makes you stand out. Supporting our customers from Wellsford to Kaitaia, you must be willing to travel frequently and be able to work independently. We’re also looking for:

• At least 3 years in B2B sales, preferred
• Excellent communication, planning and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build strong, long-lasting relationships with customers.
• Commercial acumen, sales and negotiation skills.
• A confident communicator with proven influencing and relationship-building skills.
