Description

As an Account Manager based out of our Takanini Branch, you’ll take ownership of an established portfolio of trade customers many of whom are part of the Fijian Indian community while also identifying new business opportunities in this growing market. 

This role offers a great mix of account management and sales, with time spent on the road engaging with trade customers on-site, understanding the details of their projects, and delivering tailored packages and solutions that make a real difference. From quoting through to delivery, you’ll oversee the full sales process, build strong relationships across the trade network and within your own Fijian Indian community connections, attend industry events, and proudly represent PlaceMakers in the wider building community. 

Permanent full-time role, working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, supporting customers across Auckland. Based out of our Takanini Branch. 

About you: 
You will be more than just a salesperson; you will operate as a trusted advisor to our trade customers. With a solid background in the building or construction industry and strong connections within the Fijian Indian community, you will know how to connect with local builders, understand the realities on-site, and spot where you can make a difference chasing leads, turning conversations into business, and building strong, lasting relationships. 
  • Bring a strong work ethic, approachable nature and committed to delivering deliver great service to everyone you meet
  • Proven experience in sales, account management, or business development
  • Self-motivation and a proactive approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines
  • Highly organised with sharp attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable working across multiple systems
  • Fluency in both Fiji Hindi and English 
  • Full NZ Class 1 drivers’ licence is a must
