We have two sawmills, one in Waipapa near Kerikeri in the gorgeous Bay of Islands, and another in Whangarei. We currently have an opening for a motivated and experienced Account Manager to join our dynamic team. This is a new role and offers the flexibility of working from home or basing yourself from our Whangarei site or Auckland. As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with our valued clients, managing their accounts, and ensuring their satisfaction with our products and services. The role focuses on sales into the export market and of our non-structural timber.  It covers the Auckland region as well as the Northland region. Responsibilities:
  • Develop and nurture long-term relationships with existing clients, serving as their primary point of contact for all account-related matters.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to grow sales volume, revenue, and market share in the export market, and for our non structural timber products.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to create and implement effective strategies to achieve sales targets and increase customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations to educate clients on new offerings, upgrades, and industry trends.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify business opportunities and challenges.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing client inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products.
  • Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and account performance analysis to management.
  • Work closely with the production and logistics teams to ensure efficient order processing, inventory management, and on-time delivery.
  • Stay updated with industry developments, product knowledge, and regulations relevant to the timber industry.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
Proven experience as a successful Account Manager or in a similar client-facing role.
Ideally you will have an understanding of the timber and/or the building industry and the  export market.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients at all level
Results-driven mindset with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify business opportunities and propose effective solutions.
Proficiency in using CRM software and MS Office Suite.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to meet clients
