Description

About the Role:

Are you a recent finance graduate eager to showcase your communication and interpersonal skills? We have an exciting opportunity that goes beyond traditional accounts payable. In this role, you’ll solve problems, build relationships, and make a tangible impact, setting the stage for your future growth within our company.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Reconciliation and Analysis: Move beyond basic invoice matching—investigate discrepancies, reconcile accounts, and ensure system accuracy.
  • Build Relationships: Act as the key point of contact for subcontractors, quarry managers, and other stakeholders, maintaining effective communication to process claims.
  • Problem-Solving: Address and resolve issues promptly, ensuring all data is accurate before processing.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to streamline our financial processes.
  • Data Management: Utilise SAP, Excel, and our Transport Management System to manage and reconcile subcontractor claims.

Who We're Looking For:

  • A recent Finance or Accounting graduate, or someone with 1-2 years of experience ready to take the next step.
  • A proactive individual who can work independently, ask questions, investigate issues, and find solutions.
  • A resilient communicator comfortable with managing interactions between subcontractors and internal teams.
  • Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with SAP.
  • Strong numeracy skills with excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Understanding of accounts payable is a plus, but critical thinking and problem-solving abilities are what will set you apart.

Why You'll Love Working with Us:

  • Great Benefits: Enjoy a range of perks and discounts for you and your family.
  • Career Growth: This role is your gateway to advanced finance and accounting positions within our company.
  • Flexibility: After training, take advantage of the option to work from home up to two days a week.
  • Collaborative Team: Join a supportive team where your contributions are recognised and valued.

Ready to go beyond basic accounts payable and build a meaningful finance career? We’d love to hear from you!
