About the role:

We are looking for a skilled administrator who has experience in Health & Safety processes to provide key support to the team based in our Frame & Truss site.

You’re focus will be on providing a safe and healthy work environment for staff as well as visitors and contractors on site. In compliance with Health & Safety standards you will coordinate relevant training and activities for staff and assist with the rollout of H&S initiatives. Daily you will be responsible for –
  • All aspects of general administration for the team
  • Monitoring of office inventory/assisting with factory inventory ordering
  • Monitor monthly team spend and accruals and coding of invoices
  • Respond to queries via phone and email
  • Prepare daily/weekly production data
  • Coordinate and chair H&S committee meetings, functions & duties
  • Maintain/Review H&S Policy & complete annual surveys
  • Prepare and update all H&S Audit requirements 
  • Assist with induction training for employees & maintain training records
  • Assist with incident investigations and records
  • Assist with a variety of activities that will see you gaining invaluable insight to the manufacturing environment

This is a permanent full-time role, offering 40 hours a week, Monday-Friday, based in Te Rapa, Hamilton.


About you:
  • Strong Administration and/or Coordination background - experience in Finance/ Accounts/ Human Resources or within a manufacturing or construction environment
  • Having a passion for Health & Safety and staff well-being to come up with and run initiatives, H&S experience is highly preferable
  • Your ability to build meaningful working relationships and a great helping attitude are crucial to supporting with our internal and external stakeholders
  • You’re a natural multi-tasker, and self-starter and enjoy staying organised and on top of deadlines
  • Your attention to detail combined with your organised and proactive approach will be essential to deliver high-quality results
  • Proficient knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
