Reporting to the Plant Manager, you'll be the backbone of our manufacturing operation, providing administrative support and coordinating key processes to keep our plant running smoothly. You'll work closely with our branches, customers, suppliers, and manufacturing team to ensure information flows efficiently and customer needs are met.

This is a fixed-term position based in Richmond, working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

What You'll Be Doing

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Supporting the Manufacturing team by processing orders, information, and customer requirements accurately and on time.
  • Building strong relationships with PlaceMakers branches, suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinating delivery schedules to ensure products arrive when and where they're needed.
  • Processing completed Frame & Truss jobs and charging them to branches using the ACE system.
  • Maintaining accurate records and updating management systems.
  • Conducting timber stocktakes and coordinating timber orders to support production.
  • Managing stationery, uniforms, and site consumables.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve administration processes and efficiencies.
  • Completing reporting, documentation, and administrative tasks to a high standard.
  • Supporting a positive Health & Safety culture and compliance across the site

About You
You're an organised and detail-focused administrator who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. You have strong communication skills, a customer-focused approach, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy.

You'll also be a proactive team player who takes ownership, looks for better ways of working, and enjoys supporting others to achieve great outcomes.

To Be Successful, You'll Bring:
  • Administration experience, ideally within manufacturing, logistics, or an operational environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective time management and prioritisation skills.
  • Sound Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word and Excel.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • A strong commitment to Health & Safety.

Our Benefits
  • Competitive hourly rate and staff-buying privileges.
  • Development opportunities as part of the wider Fletcher Building Group.
  • Employment Education Fund.
  • Health & Wellbeing initiatives, including an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)
