Are you ready to lead our afternoon shift operations and drive excellence at our Sydney Prospect Distribution Centre?

We’re searching for an experienced Afternoon Shift Manager to join our team at Laminex. This is a salaried role with a 15% loading, working from 3pm to 11pm. This is your opportunity to make a real difference by fostering a high-performing team culture and ensuring safe efficient distribution operations.

What you'll be responsible for: 

In this role, you’ll manage the distribution centre’s PM operations, ensuring delivery in full and on time through effective labour resourcing, fleet allocation, Safety Leadership and outstanding customer service. You’ll continually evaluate and improve warehouse efficiency using continuous improvement tools and methodologies. Identifying root causes of issues, implementing proactive action plans, and ensuring policy compliance will be key to your success.

You’ll also be responsible for implementing new technologies, processes, and policies to enhance overall warehouse efficiency while maintaining a zero-harm environment. Building strong relationships with other departments to maintain effective communication channels across all business units is essential. As a strong leader, you’ll influence, engage, and promote a high-performing team.

What we’re looking for:
  • Leadership Skills: A strong leader who can foster a high-performing culture and influence key stakeholders.
  • Continuous Improvement: Experience using continuous improvement tools to drive process efficiency and accuracy.
  • Operational Excellence: Knowledge of business planning systems for distribution and inventory management.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to identifying and solving issues.

Relevant Experience:
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel, Word, and WMS.
  • Experience in supply chain scheduling, warehouse planning, and analysis.
  • Understanding of OH&S and COR legislation and responsibilities.
  • Proven track record in managing teams and developing people through training.
  • High level of business awareness and understanding of inter-relationships between functions.
