About the role:
Leading the sales team through planning, motivating, developing, and coaching, to achieve and better their sales targets. Your relationship skills will prove invaluable, as you collaborate with your team and your peers, as well as building and strengthening relationships with key customers and stakeholders.

Reporting to the Head of Sales, the Area Sales Manager role has 13 direct reports, and works closely alongside the operations team in the region. With a collaborative management style, you will know how to get the best out of people and will enjoy seeing others grow and succeed. You’ll model a strong customer service culture, the ability to lead and influence, a strong commercial acumen and build and foster positive relationships between the sales team and the teams within our branches, to ensure high level service delivery.

Responsibilities:
  • Meeting and exceeding key business KPI’s including revenue targets, customer NPS & Safety leadership. 
  • Managing and securing key customer/ client relationships to develop, secure and manage new and existing customer relationships with key customers within the geographical area. 
  • Driving and coaching sales tactics, sales processes, and sales disciplines to achieve target levels of sales, margin and share of wallet for Mico.
  • Leading a Safety culture, while driving a collaborative, engaging high performance team culture. 

About you:
Success in this role is about leading successfully, so relationship and leadership skills are what we’re looking for, and prior experience in leading top performing teams is essential. Your general business acumen will be a great advantage in driving our market share, maximising the profitability of your region, maintaining budget alignment and actively seeking out opportunities to improve performance and reduce costs, as well as developing and implementing regional sales and marketing plans.

Having some industry knowledge and experience within the plumbing or building industries would be a huge bonus - someone with an understanding of the opportunities and challenges within the plumbing space.  However, your personality, drive and tenacity are what really counts!
