Description

Higgins is looking for an experienced Asphalt Milling Operator to join our Auckland team. This role sits within our surfacing division, working across a variety of roading and infrastructure projects throughout the region.

What you’ll be doing
  • Operating asphalt milling machines safely and efficiently
  • Completing differential milling, milling number work, and patch milling
  • Carrying out daily pre‑start checks and basic machine maintenance
  • Working closely with supervisors and crew members to deliver quality outcomes
  • Maintaining a strong focus on health, safety, and site standards
  • Supporting general site activities when required

What we’re looking for
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience operating milling machines
  • Proven experience with differential milling, milling numbers, and patch mills
  • A current Class 1 driver licence (Class 2 is an advantage)
  • Relevant WTR endorsements 
  • A good understanding of site safety requirements
  • A reliable, team‑focused approach and strong work ethic
