Description

The Higgins team in Tauranga has an exciting opportunity for a Supervisor to join our Asphalt Plant team.

Reporting to the Plant Manager, you’ll lead a team of 5 staff who manufacture up to 4,000 tonnes of asphalt per month.  You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the plant including customer and subcontractor coordination, health and safety auditing, quality assurance, stock management and overseeing planned plant maintenance.

What you’ll bring to the role:
  • 5 + years prior experience in asphalt plant operation, including troubleshooting and mechanical maintenance
  • Proven ability to manage daily plant operations to meet productivity and outcome targets 
  • Experience leading teams, setting goals, and managing daily schedules and resourcing
  • Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to respond to unexpected challenges and provide clear direction
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, along with solid computer literacy
  • A strong commitment to health and safety practices
  • Class 1 Drivers License or overseas equivalent - WTR and Class 2 sought after but we can support you to gain these 

This is a permanent, full-time position working 40-60 hours per week based in Tauranga.  Travel around the wider Bay of Plenty region may be required. Competitive salary on offer between $90,000 - $110,000
