Description

About Us

If we could have it our way, people would talk a little less about housing and a lot more about living. That's because we believe the Kiwi dream is bigger than a quarter acre. It’s about living the life you want. So, we create neighbourhoods designed to nurture living in all its beauty, richness and variety.

Why Join Us?

We’re a high performing business and are proud to say that we have a highly engaged and successful team. We have a fantastic people culture and encourage everyone to bring their full and genuine selves to work. Our workplaces are enriched by many different nationalities, languages, religions, and customs. We’re proud of this diversity and understand that it brings a richer and broader perspective to how we operate by helping us connect better with our people and with our customer base.

The Role

Reporting to the Design & Specification Manager, your job as the Design & Specification Coordinator will be to assist in delivering the design specifications. This 12-month fixed term role is truly a collaborative role where you will gain exposure to the full construction life cycle from the client side.

Your responsibilities will include:

Working alongside the Design and Specification Manager to assist with the planning of developments, and the specification of external and internal materials, colours, and fittings
Regular visits to our Fletcher Living developments to ensure that the specifications and colour choices are both implemented and appropriate for the type of home they are selected for
Administrative tasks and reporting
Working with our Sales Team to acquire feedback from people buying our houses, so that we can accommodate those things into future designs
Liaising with Construction Supervisors to gain their input on ‘buildability’ - in particular relating to kitchen design and internal finish suppliers and contractors
Actively demonstrate safe work processes and behaviours

About You

You are likely to be interested in learning and developing your skills in interior design and / or construction and already have experience in a related field. Residential experience would be preferred but we are flexible for the right person. You will be an outgoing person who enjoys working with multi-disciplined teams and various stakeholders. You will have an exceptional eye for detail, strong communication and administrative skills, as well as a flair for design and aesthetics.

Application Process

Applications should be made by submitting a CV and cover letter outlining your interest, motivation, and what you would bring to this role by way of background, experience and fit for the role and our team.  Please apply online.

We welcome your individuality. We are enriched by so many nationalities, languages, religions, customs, and lifestyles. We are proud of our diversity and see it as one of the things that make us stronger.
