About the Role

Fletcher Living’s Central/North branch office (based in Penrose) is on the hunt for a new Associate Design & Planning Manager. This role provides an overview of the design process to ensure we create great living spaces which maximise plot sites, are efficient to construct and quick to channel through the consenting process feeding into the Branch’s ability to meet construction and financial targets. 

Responsibilities include:
  • Take ownership for the planning and development of the branch housing volumes from initial concept through to consented plans.
  • Management of the briefing to external designers and consultants, from design process through to consented ready to construct drawings. 
  • Recommend design and development opportunities, including scheme design and as appropriate detailed design, view to creating better living spaces and greater efficiencies.
  • Holding regular design meetings with broader team (Architects, Engineers, QS, Construction, Sales)

This truly is a collaborative role where you will gain exposure to the full construction life cycle from the client side.

About You

We are open minded in terms of the background of the successful candidate. You may have come from a design or architecture background yourself as relating to residential work, or you may have come out of a planning and consenting background. The successful person will offer key strengths in verbal and written communication, stake-holder engagement and management, strategic focus, and high levels of commercial savvy.
