The Opportunity:

We are currently seeking a motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a B-Double (MC) driver, based at our Tullamarine Distribution Centre in Melbourne's northern suburbs.

This is a permanent full-time position, working standard dayshift hours, typically starting between 5:00 am and 6:00 am.

This is a highly sought-after MC role. You'll be driving from our DC to Ballarat and back each day with just 5 stops. There’s no need to hook or unhook trailers, and you'll be driving a modern 3-year-old automatic Mercedes truck.

The full-time rate is above award + superannuation, with overtime (OT) available as required.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Delivering packs of laminate (up to 3.6m long) to customers and businesses across Melbourne and the surrounding areas.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and branch locations.
• Ensuring compliance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements and load restraint.
• Operating counterbalance forklifts to load and unload trucks (if licensed).
• Performing manual tasks, including lifting, packing, and general site duties.
• Completing necessary paperwork for warehouse operations.

Key Role Details:

• Base Pay: $31.93 per hour.
• Employment: Permanent, full-time role with immediate start.
• Working Hours: Rotating weekly between HC and MC truck driving:
  • Week 1 (HC Truck): Multi-drop deliveries around Melbourne, typically 38-45 hours per week with start times around 5:30 or 6:00 am.
  • Week 2 (MC Truck): Two daily trips to Ballarat and back, approximately 50 hours per week.
• Why this role? This is a straightforward driving role—no trailer unhitching or manual loading/unloading is required. Forklifts handle all loading and unloading at each site, allowing you to focus on driving.

Allowances:

• $20 per week allowance for driving the HC truck.
• $40 per week allowance for driving the MC truck.

About You:

We are seeking someone who is people-oriented and safety-conscious, ready to take on a key role in our business. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude and a willingness to learn. Essential qualifications and skills include:

• A current Multi-Combination (MC) Licence (mandatory).
• An LF forklift licence is highly regarded but not essential.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Physical fitness, as some manual lifting is involved.
• A solid understanding of workplace safety.
