About the role
We’re seeking a Bid Manager to join our Central Region, based in Hamilton. This role suits either an experienced Bid Manager or an Infrastructure Project Manager looking to move into the new business area. 

This role will see you lead the preparation of competitive, profitable, and high-quality tender proposals. You’ll develop bid strategies and provide leadership, direction and control on all aspects of the bid process. A great chance to apply project management skills alongside knowledge of engineering construction. 

Managing relationships is key, and you will develop long-term working relationships with customers, partners, and suppliers across the industry. You’ll be part of a passionate team with a long legacy of building key infrastructure and a great chance to build and apply skills and experience from the field.

The role is highly varied with leadership across all aspects of our submissions and customer engagements. A great chance to advance your career and grow your skills.

About you
Our new business team works in a dynamic environment driven by deadlines, often with multiple tenders running concurrently. We are seeking a high energy, self-motivated person who can ensure momentum is maintained during the tender process.

You’ll have the ability to bring people and content together to meet deadlines and client expectations. You’ll also bring with you:
  • Strong experience in infrastructure project delivery, construction engineering or tenders. 
  • Experience in successfully setting up delivery teams up for success with cost management and delivering on client expectations
  • Strong track record of building relationships with prospective external partners, clients and stakeholders
  • A team player who brings their whole self to work and enjoys working with others
  • Understands methodologies in complex civil construction and can articulate in writing
  • Sound understanding of the risk profiles with various procurement models and the treatment of risks to reduce commercial exposure to an acceptable level.
