Description

Higgins is looking for an experienced Bid Writer to join the New Business team based in Penrose.

As a Bid Writer, you’ll turn technical and commercial information into clear, well-structured submissions that support successful tenders. Working with project teams, estimators and subject matter experts, you’ll shape responses that meet requirements and reflect how projects are delivered.

You’ll be responsible for:
  • Writing and editing tender responses that meet client and RFP requirements
  • Turning technical, operational and commercial inputs into clear written content
  • Working with project teams and subject matter experts to gather information
  • Developing project profiles, CVs and methodology sections
  • Reviewing content for accuracy, consistency and submission standards
  • Supporting timelines, document control and submission coordination

What you’ll bring to the role:
  • Tertiary qualification in communications, journalism, engineering, construction or similar, or equivalent experience
  • Experience in bid writing, proposals or structured business writing, ideally within roading or construction
  • Confidence working with technical information and making it easy to understand
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Good stakeholder skills, able to draw information from a range of people
  • Comfortable using MS Office and document management systems
