Lead Sales. Drive Growth. Own the Result!

We’re looking for a commercially driven leader to take charge of our Kerikeri and Kaitaia branches someone who leads from the front, builds high-performing sales teams and knows how to grow revenue and margin in a competitive trade environment.

This isn’t a sit-back leadership role. It’s hands-on, sales-focused and performance-driven. You'll be based in Kerikeri, with regular travel to Kaitaia to stay close to your people, customers and numbers.

This is an opportunity to partner with PlaceMakers as an invested shareholder through our Joint Venture model, where you share in the financial performance of the branch, take accountability for results, and build long-term value through disciplined commercial leadership.


What You’ll Do

  • Drive sales growth and margin performance across both branches
  • Build strong trade customer relationships and win new business
  • Lead, coach and hold your team accountable to clear sales targets
  • Use data and financial insight to lift performance and control costs
  • Ensure stock accuracy, availability and operational excellence to support sales
  • Identify market opportunities and position PlaceMakers ahead of the competition

You’ll create a culture where activity, accountability and results matter. We call this "Nailing the Basics".


What You Bring

  • Proven leadership experience in a trade or building supplies environment
  • Strong track record of achieving sales and margin targets
  • Commercial acumen and confidence managing budgets and forecasts
  • Ability to grow customer accounts and develop new business
  • Knowledge of building materials and construction processes
  • Hands-on leadership style and strong communication skills
  • Full NZ Class 1 licence
