About the Position

We are excited to share a rare and exciting opportunity within Stramit, as we are searching for a Business Development Manager - Specification! This role is designed for a true BDM hunter who thrives on working on lead generation, getting out and sourcing potential customers, and building those relationships. You will be responsible for supporting the growth and development of our commercial segment, via product specification, technical support and contributing to product development.

This role is based at out Erskine Park location, supporting our NSW customer bases and will require intrastate travel. WFH is available however time in market is the priority.

Key role responsibilities:
  • Identify and pursue new customer acquisition and new sales opportunities in the Commercial segments.
  • Specifying our products within the Architectural and Engineering networks.
  • Working with, and supporting Stramit Account Managers through the sales process, being the primary point of contact for technical support.
  • Manage a pipeline of projects both specified or non specified and converting to deal
  • Maintain accurate customer records via Salesforce and ensure all activities and opportunities are recorded and monitored for effectiveness, as well as monitoring project conversion.
  • Monitor internal / external software to identify lead or revenue opportunities and refer as required
  • Ensure effective deployment and activation of growth products and new product development, facilitated through building relationships with builders, engineers, architects and customers.
  • Develop and deliver CPD presentations to Architects and Engineers.
  • Contribute to and ensure revenue and gross margin targets are met or exceeded.

To be considered for this role, we need from you:
  • Background in business development, with excellent presentation & time management skills.
  • Industry experience and/or tertiary qualifications in engineering or architecture is ideal, with a technical understanding of structural products and roofing.
  • Networks that include Builders, Architects and Engineers
  • Strong experience in relationship building with fantastic customer-centric outcomes.
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM, and other industry lead generation tools such as BCI and Cordell, to identify and track leads.
  • Ability to work closely with Sales Manager and engage in team strategy, but also able to independently execute activities on the ground.
  • Aptitude to become our SME in the roofing and purlin segments.
