Today, you’ll see Laminex on surfaces everywhere you look – from hospitals and shopping centres to restaurants and homes. We manufacture and procure a broad range of products for commercial and residential use such as laminate, engineered stone and veneers so that all Australians can live in beautiful, practical spaces.

Where Your Story Begins

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive CNC Programmer to join our team at our manufacturing site in Bathurst.

This role is critical in ensuring our production runs smoothly by delivering accurate, optimised cutting files and supporting CNC router operations to the highest standard. You’ll be responsible for designing custom CTS and cubicle systems, creating efficient cutting patterns, and ensuring production teams have the right files at the right time.

This is a full-time, office-based role with regular interaction on the production floor. We also understand the importance of work/life balance – whether it’s school drop-offs or other commitments, we’re open to discussing flexible arrangements that help you thrive both at work and at home.

Key Focuses & Responsibilities
  • Designing and programming cutting files using CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks)
  • Creating and managing job files with a focus on accuracy, clarity, and accessibility
  • Optimizing material usage to reduce waste and improve yield
  • Supporting CNC router operations and assisting with troubleshooting
  • Collaborating with production teams to streamline workflow and meet deadlines
  • Continuously improving processes and staying up to date with new technologies

The Role You’ll Play

To be successful in this role, you’ll ideally bring:
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and CAD/CAM software
  • An aptitude for CNC programming and router operations – no prior experience required, as full one-on-one training will be provided
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to work independently when needed

Perks & Benefits
  • Opportunities for professional development and training in the latest software and technologies
  • A collaborative and innovative work environment
  • Access to significant discounts on Fletcher Building products, including Laminex, Stramit, and more
  • A culture that supports flexibility and balance, helping you manage your personal and professional life
