About the role: 
We’re looking for a strategic, commercially driven Category Manager to lead our Kitchens category, with oversight across Flooring, Laundry, Wardrobe and Outdoor/Leisure.
You’ll drive category performance through strong supplier partnerships, effective pricing and product range management, and a clear understanding of customer and market trends. Working cross-functionally, you’ll ensure a competitive, innovative and customer-focused offer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute category strategies to deliver sales growth, profitability and supply continuity 
  • Manage pricing and cost of goods to remain competitive and optimise margins 
  • Curate high-performing, innovative product ranges across channels 
  • Build and manage key supplier relationships, including negotiation and performance reviews 
  • Monitor market trends and customer needs to identify opportunities 
  • Conduct category reviews to drive continuous improvement 
  • Collaborate with branches, sales, marketing and suppliers to deliver great customer outcomes 
  • Support showroom presentation and overall customer experience

This is a full-time permanent role offering 40 hours a week. Based full time from our Support office in Penrose 

About you: 
  • Proven experience in Category Management, Product Management, or a similar commercial role, with strong exposure to Kitchens, Cabinetry, Interior Products, or Residential Building Solutions 
  • Demonstrated success developing and executing customer-focused category strategies that drive commercial performance 
  • Strong understanding of kitchen products, market trends, customer requirements, and supplier landscapes 
  • Highly developed supplier management, negotiation, and relationship-building skills 
  • Strong analytical, organisational, and decision-making capabilities 
  • Commercially astute, with the ability to identify opportunities and translate insights into results 
  • A customer-first mindset with a passion for creating exceptional kitchen solutions and customer experiences 
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across multiple internal teams and stakeholders
