We have a fantastic opportunity for a Certified Driver Trainer/Assessor to join our team based in Penrose.     

The role
Reporting to the HR Manager – Firth, you will be responsible for building the capability of Firth Certified Drivers through induction programmes, training, ongoing competency assessments, coaching and mentoring.  Assisting staff to reach and maintain the required competency standard in accordance with the SAFED programme, Firth’s policies, and processes, NZQA and industry standards. This position covers all certified plants from Puketona to Pukekohe.

About you
To be successful in this role you will be an experienced driver of Class 4 trucks, preferably concrete.  You will be SAFED certified, registered as an assessor with Connexa and MITO and have a good practical knowledge of NZQA and industry training processes and standards. If you have a Certificate in Adult Teaching this will also be a real advantage.  You will have sound communication skills, be results-driven, self-motivated and have the ability to relate to people, from our Certified Drivers through to Area Managers.  A good understanding of MS office is also essential. Being a NZTA approved course provider, would be beneficial but is not essential.
