Join us as a Certified Lab Technician/Plant Operator at our Nelson Plant!


Our Role 

This dynamic, hands-on role is ideal for someone with a passion for quality, precision, and teamwork. As a Certified Lab Technician/Plant Operator, you will play a pivotal role in sampling and testing raw materials and finished concrete products to ensure they meet all Firth and New Zealand standards. Your attention to detail, professionalism, and ability to make sound decisions will be key in maintaining the consistency and integrity of our products. 

We’re looking for someone with high personal standards, strong discipline, and the interpersonal skills to thrive in a collaborative team environment. You’ll be responsible for ensuring our concrete is fit for purpose, meets customer specifications, and supports market applications. 

Teamwork is highly valued, and your role plays a crucial part in it. The position involves physical tasks, including heavy lifting, as materials are handled and tested regularly.

What You Will Bring

  • Understanding of concrete mix design and technology 
  • Class 4 licence not a requirement but advantageous
