This isn't just a manufacturing/production role, you will be responsible for and understand the commercial aspects of the business, supply chain demands as well as full P&L for the site

Ko tā mātou mahi - Our Role 

As the Production Manager, you will: 
  • Lead manufacturing to meet production targets, quality standards, and cost objectives. 
  • Prioritize and promote a safe working environment, adhering to all safety regulations and guidelines. 
  • Provide effective leadership to the manufacturing teams, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and innovation. 
  • Lead commercial management through understanding of drivers and efficiancies
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes, reduce waste, and increase productivity. 
  • Ensure that all products meet or exceed quality standards and implement quality control processes to maintain consistency. 
  • Efficiently manage resources, including manpower, equipment, and budgets, to achieve operational goals. 
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, supply chain, and sales, to align site manufacturing operations with company goals. 
  • Meet key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly assess and report on the performance of manufacturing operations

Ngā Pūmanawatanga Ōu - What You Will Bring 
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in: Manufacturing, Engineering, Management, or related discipline. 
  • Experience in managing manufacturing operations, and extensive experience running production or engineering functions, with product knowledge of concrete advantageous. 
  • Commercial Savvy with P&L management
  • Minimum 5 years leading a best practice Operations / Manufacturing function. 
  • Strong safety culture and able to establish a safety mindset in the business. 
  • Understands Product Quality and engineering for optimal product standards
