We’re looking for an experienced (pipe and precast concrete) Production Manager to guide our Christchurch manufacturing site with a strong focus on customer centricity, operational excellence, people development and wellbeing.

What You’ll Be Doing

In this leadership role, you’ll create a positive, inclusive environment where your team can thrive. Key areas of focus include:
People & Culture
  • Empower and lead the team with coaching, clear goals, and regular check‑ins.
  • Foster a culture grounded in safety, respect, and accountability.
  • Enable training, development, and succession planning across the site. 
Operational Leadership
  • Oversee daily operations across wet‑cast, spun product, and precast manufacturing.
  • Champion Manufacturing Excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure consistent quality, on‑time delivery, and strong collaboration with planning, sales, and logistics teams.
Health, Safety & Environment
  • Lead with care and ensure the site meets all safety, environmental, and compliance expectations.
  • Support team members to do their work safely and confidently. 
Planning & Performance
  • Guide production planning to meet S&OP requirements and customer expectations.
  • End to end P&L management, including overseeing budgets, inventory performance, CAPEX planning, and plant reliability.
What You’ll Bring

We welcome applicants who bring a thoughtful leadership style and experience in complex operational environments. You’ll ideally have:
  • 15 years or more experience in precast concrete, heavy industry, or building materials manufacturing
  • Engineering, science, or relevant tertiary qualification or significant experience managing large‑scale manufacturing operations.
  • Confidence in engaging diverse teams, building trust, and leading through change.
  • Strengths in planning, problem‑solving, and nurturing a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Experience in driving and improving HSE, quality, and operational excellence standards. 
  • Confidence in identifying and leading opportunities in operational efficiencies and effectiveness 
  • Strong commercial acumen
