Golden Bay Cement is looking for casual drivers to join our Auckland team based at Eastport. This is an unmissable opportunity to be part of a group of drivers delivering to the greater Auckland region. They’re a talented bunch who will provide you with a friendly environment. Roles within this team do not come up often for a reason.
Please note: This is casual work and will be on an as and when required basis.
The Concrete Division comprises Fletcher Building’s aggregate, cement and concrete businesses, employing over 1300 people across three business units. Golden Bay Cement is over 100 years old and is New Zealand’s only manufacturer of clinker and cement. With national distribution capabilities, GBC supplies both domestic and export markets. We will offer you a steady and secure work environment.
You will drive a modern air-conditioned truck and tanker combination and be required to operate a pneumatic tanker as part of the delivery process. It is very important that you are flexible and willing to be adaptable. Our drivers are typically delivering product to our customers around the greater Auckland, Hamilton, Waikato, and the Coromandel.
Training will be supplied in all aspects of this role. However, to be successful you will need to have:
- A class 5 licence
- Be an experienced class 5 driver
- Bulk tanker experience is advantageous
- Right to work in New Zealand
In return we’ll offer you:
- Top of the line trucks (usually a DAF or Volvo automatic)
- A safety conscious work environment and modern systems such as Guardian
- Fletcher Building staff benefits such as staff purchasing, fuel discounts and access to the employee education fund
This is a great company to work for who values a safe work environment above anything else. They appreciate a job well done, provide thorough training, and are passionate about the people, the product, and equipment.
