The Role
We’re seeking a commercially focused Commercial Accountant to join our finance team in Penrose. This role partners closely with our quarry operations to provide financial insights, coaching, and tools that drive profitability and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with operational teams to develop forecasts and annual budgets.
  • Provide commercial coaching to enhance financial acumen across the business.
  • Deliver insights through cost analysis, benchmarking, and performance reviews.
  • Support the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process and standard costing frameworks.
  • Lead inventory and manufacturing accounting functions during month-end.
  • Prepare and interpret monthly financial results and forecast accuracy.
  • Contribute to business case development and project support.
  • Promote and model safe work practices and support HS&E initiatives.

About You
You’ll bring a strong commercial mindset and a passion for partnering with operations to drive business performance. You’ll also have:

  • A tertiary qualification in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
  • 4–6 years of experience in commercial finance, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Strong analytical, modelling, and standard costing skills.
  • Experience with forecasting and S&OP processes.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
