Winstone Wallboards, home of the iconic GIB® brand, is seeking a commercially savvy and driven Commercial Accountant to join our high-performing finance team. About the Role

As a Commercial Accountant, you’ll play a key role in supporting strategic decision-making through insightful financial analysis, forecasting, foreign currency management, and performance reporting. You’ll collaborate closely with operational teams to drive profitability and contribute to business growth. This is a broad, hands-on role that offers exposure across a wide range of accounting and finance activities providing the opportunity to make a meaningful impact across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and report on financial performance across the business
Take ownership of forecasting, budgeting, management reporting and variance analysis
Support accurate and timely month-end reporting, including reconciliations and oversight of domestic accounts payable
Ensure compliance with FX policies, GST and FBT obligations while delivering financiais insights that support strategic commercial decision-making
Partner with stakeholders to identify cost-saving opportunities

About You

You’re a qualified CA with broad industry exposure, bringing strong commercial acumen and passion for driving business performance. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy working cross-functionally.

You’ll bring:

At least 3 years’ experience in a finance or accounting role
Strong commercial and analytical skills, with a focus on identifying opportunities and driving improvement
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement
A team player with a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and the drive to go the extra mile
Tech-savvy, with hands-on experience using JD Edwards, or similar, with strong Excel skills (Pivot tables, VLOOKUPs); exposure to Power BI is advantageous
Solid understanding of financial, cost, and management accounting, with strong knowledge of taxation and manufacturing accounting processes advantageous
