Description

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to lead commercial delivery across a diverse portfolio of construction projects in Auckland. You will take ownership of commercial performance, contract management, and financial control while leading and developing a capable commercial team.

Working closely with regional and project leaders, you will ensure strong governance, accurate reporting, and effective risk management from pre contract through to project completion.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Lead and manage commercial teams across multiple projects
  • Own contract administration and contractual compliance end to end
  • Control project budgets, forecasts, cost flow, and cash flow
  • Manage procurement strategies and subcontractor agreements
  • Drive revenue recovery, variations, claims, and change management
  • Provide clear financial reporting and early risk escalation to leaders

What You’ll Bring to the Role:
  • A tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
  • Professional accreditation such as MRICS, NZIQS, or equivalent
  • Extensive experience in construction commercial management, including people leadership
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement, and claims
  • proven ability to manage risk, budgets, and complex financial forecasts
  • A calm, clear communicator who builds trust across teams and clients
