About the role

If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you!  The Compliance & IMS Specialist designs, implements, and maintains the company's Integrated Management Systems, ensuring compliance with legislation and standards. This role can be based in Palmerston North, Christchurch or Auckland and will manage company processes and systems, contributing to business management and measuring performance, including Health, Safety, and Environment functions across the company. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the current Iplex documented HSQE systems, policy and procedures to ensure alignment to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain compliance programs for our Health, Quality, and Environmental Information Management System (IMS).
  • Conduct regular internal and external audits and assessments to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Support sustainability initiatives in line with the Iplex Sustainability Strategy.
  • Monitor and adapt the company for any local legislative and regulatory changes/updates/guidelines/policy/ procedure changes.
  • Provide training and support to staff on compliance and IMS-related matters.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in EHSQ practices and processes, to enhance safety, product quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless integration of IMS across the organization.

To be successful in this role you will have

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in ISO 14001, ISO 9001, ISO 45001.
  • Experience in AS/NZS 17025 in a manufacturing space.
  • Tertiary qualifications in engineering, OHS, and/or equivalent experience in leading quality management systems.
  • Advanced Lead Auditing accreditation/certification.
  • Experience with the Microsoft suite and a wide range of technology and systems such as Radar and SharePoint.
  • Proven experience in compliance management and IMS.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
