Fletcher Living is one of New Zealand’s leading specialist home builders and has a long history and strong commitment to providing quality new homes for Kiwis. We’re part of Fletcher Building, a diversified global building industry company. The Fletcher Residential and Development Division has been an integral part of the Fletcher Building family for over 100 years.
Our Auckland South Branch is based on Cavendish Drive, Manukau. We focus on developments in the surrounding areas, so the role is ideal for anyone living out that way who is looking to reduce their commute. Our role offers a competitive base salary and includes a vehicle, laptop, phone, plus a generous bonus component. We also have numerous employee benefits available to permanent full-time employees as we are part of the Fletcher Building group of companies. These include access to the Fletcher Building Employee Educational Fund, FBuShare - our global employee share plan, discounted Southern Cross Healthcare, Fletcher Building Welfare Fund, and the Fletcher Building Staff Discount Card.
We have a fantastic people culture, and as an organisation we focus on the things that make it great to work here, even as we continue to grow. Our priority is to make all our people feel welcomed when they join and feel valued as they continue their journey with us.
Our Construction team spends the majority of their time on-site, ensuring the programme is tracking on-time and within budget and that excellent health & safety practices are adhered to. We focus on a high-quality finish so we can hand over a high spec product to our sales team. As well as the co-ordination aspect of the role, the scheduling is very important for which we use a bespoke programming software package. We will train and support you in the use of this Primavera software. Our construction team delivers a finished product, which is then handed to the sales team to sell to our customers. Your job is to focus on the programme, oversee our contractors and suppliers and provide leadership in relation to quality workmanship and health & safety practices.
You’ll have solid construction experience, preferably residential, with a demonstrated leadership ability and a sound knowledge of health and safety practices. We build a wide range of typologies, so it’s highly desirable if you’ve had experience with a variety of builds (single-level, apartments, terraced housing). We’re also looking for someone with excellent communication skills. You’ll be someone who is known for being firm but fair, and as a result you will be respected by all parties involved in delivering a successful project, including local council and their inspectors.
