Description

Higgins Hamilton have secured an exciting new contract - the Waikato District Council northern road maintenance and renewals contract. Due to this, our team is growing, and we are seeking a Contract Administrator to join the Green Team now, ready for project kick off in July 2025.

The contract covers North Waikato from Huntly to Pōkeno and includes maintenance of a comprehensive network of approximately 1200km of sealed and unsealed roads including rural and coastal areas.

You will be responsible for providing effective and efficient financial and contracts support to the team. Get involved in financial accruals and forecasting, preparing monthly claims, reviewing and processing subcontractors claims and other general administrative tasks, reporting and file management.

What you’ll bring to the role:
  • Experience as a Contract Administrator preferred 
  • Strong experience in an admin role with a financial / contracts focus
  • Demonstrated competency in Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Document Control
  • Competent with Microsoft Excel and Word           
  • Confident picking up new systems and databases 
  • Self-motivated and pro-active
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
