Are you an experienced credit and cost analyst looking to step into a key role within one of New Zealand’s largest and most diverse employers? Fletcher Building is seeking a highly capable Costs and Credit Analyst to join our Credit Management and Debt Recovery (CMDR) team and play a key role in supporting the business in managing the credit risk across the Group.

About the role
As a Cost and Credit Analyst, you will act as the interface between CFMR and the business to manage recharges and the payment of invoices. You will work with the business to analyse credit risk information of prospective customers and provide informed recommendations to manage credit risk in line with the business objectives.

You will have the opportunity to work on a range of Credit Management activities and projects, working with the team to improve and standardise the CMDR and credit related activities and function.

This is a hands-on 12 month fixed term role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume and compliant environment and enjoys problem-solving, continuous improvement, and delivering exceptional service.

What you’ll be doing
  • Support Group credit risk management, including securities, legal processes, recoveries, and debt collection.
  • Collaborate with business units to maximize returns on debt recovery and insolvency claims.
  • Streamline processes related to third-party disbursements and legal expenses.
  • Assist with credit onboarding and FB Group’s PPSA registrations.
  • Engage with customers to understand their needs, foster strong stakeholder relationships, and drive change and innovation.
  • Promote continuous improvement and educate users on best practices.
  • Ensure governance standards are met by reviewing and updating policies and procedures.
  • Model safe work practices to support safety and well-being.

About you
  • Experience in credit management and debt recovery within large, complex New Zealand environments
  • Knowledge of New Zealand and Australian credit management policies and relevant legislation
  • Experience in Accounts Payable and integrated accounting software
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work under pressure with high attention to detail
  • Customer-focused with strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
